The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) invites online applications for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2025. This recruitment drive is for various Group 'B' and Group 'C' posts in Ministries, Departments, and Organizations of the Government of India. Applications are accepted online from 01 August 2025 to 31 August 2025 through the official SSC website.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university

Age Limit

  • 18 to 32 years as on 01 August 2025 (varies by post)
  • Age relaxation as per government rules

Additional Notes

  • Candidates appearing in the final year of their degree are eligible, provided they complete it before the document verification stage.
  • Specific posts may require additional qualifications (e.g., Statistics for Junior Statistical Officer).

Selection Procedure

Tier-I Exam

  • Computer-based Test (CBT) with Objective MCQs
  • Sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Comprehension
  • 100 questions, 200 marks, 60 minutes

Tier-II Exam

  • Computer-based Test (CBT) with multiple papers
  • Paper I (Compulsory): Quantitative, Reasoning, English, General Awareness, Computer
  • Paper II: Statistics (for Junior Statistical Officer)
  • Paper III: General Studies – Finance & Economics (for Assistant Audit Officer)

Skill Test

  • Applicable for specific posts (e.g., Data Entry Speed Test for Tax Assistant)
  • Details provided in the official notification

Document Verification

  • Verification of educational qualifications, age, category, and other documents
  • Final merit list based on Tier-I and Tier-II performance

Important Notes

  • Negative marking applies in Tier-I and Tier-II exams (0.50 marks per wrong answer in Tier-I).
  • Candidates must qualify each stage to proceed to the next.
  • Post preferences must be filled carefully during application.

How to Apply

  1. Visit https://ssc.nic.in
  2. Register with basic details or log in if already registered
  3. Fill in the SSC CGL 2025 application form carefully
  4. Upload the required documents and photograph
  5. Pay the application fee online (₹100 for General/OBC/EWS, exempted for SC/ST/PH/Female)
  6. Submit the application and download/print a copy for future reference

Important Instructions

  • Application fee is non-refundable
  • Multiple applications will lead to rejection
  • Ensure all details are accurate to avoid discrepancies during document verification
  • Correction window available from 05–06 September 2025
  • Mobile phones/electronic devices are prohibited in exam centers
