Key Responsibilities

  • Design, test, and analyze mechanical components and systems.
  • Develop CAD drawings and engineering documentation.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, stress analysis, and thermal calculations.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams.
  • Ensure designs meet applicable codes, safety regulations, and client specs.
  • Review and approve mechanical plans, prototypes, and processes.
  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, and quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Eng, B.Sc.)
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Canada.
  • 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design, analysis, or project engineering.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar CAD software.
  • Knowledge of ASME/ISO standards and mechanical systems.
  • Strong analytical, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (M.Eng or M.Sc.) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Field experience in HVAC, manufacturing, or energy systems.
  • Familiarity with FEA (ANSYS), CFD, MATLAB, or simulation software.
  • Experience with project lifecycle documentation (PMP, Agile, etc.).
  • Bilingual (English + French) preferred for federal or Quebec-based roles.
