Salary Range: CAD $80,000 – $110,000 per year

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Manage the full employee life cycle: recruitment, onboarding, development, and offboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian labor laws, occupational health & safety, and equity legislation.
  • Handle employee relations, investigations, and performance management.
  • Oversee benefits administration, payroll coordination, and policy development.
  • Guide team leaders on HR best practices and employment legislation.
  • Lead DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) and employee wellness initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 4+ years of HR experience, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Solid knowledge of Canadian employment law and HR compliance standards.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with HR software (e.g., ADP, BambooHR, Ceridian, or Workday).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and handle sensitive matters with discretion.

Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications

  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation or equivalent.
  • Experience in unionized environments or public sector organizations.
  • French/English bilingual (especially for federal/provincial government roles).
  • Familiarity with hybrid work policy frameworks and digital onboarding.
  • Master's degree in HRM, Industrial Relations, or Organizational Psychology.
